Who is Edon Zhegrova? £12m man likened to Bukayo Saka could soon head to Everton, amid reports

Everton are still working on a deal to sign Edon Zhegrova from Juventus.

Calciomercato claim that The Friedkin Group came close to signing the Kosovo international during the winter transfer window, but the deal collapsed with just hours until the deadline.

However, the Italian news outlet say Everton are already working on a summer deal for the Juventus No.11 – having also made attempts to sign the winger last summer.

Zhegrova evidently has many admirers at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, but who is he? Let’s take a look.

If you could sign one player, who would it be Everton fans? 🤩

David Moyes could have his own Bukayo Saka at Everton in Edon Zhegrova

The man born in Herford is an immensely talented forward, who typically lines up on the right flank to cut inside on his stronger left foot.

It is this specific profile which led Breaking The Lines to compare Zhegrova to the likes of Bukayo Saka and Raphinha, who also thrive when cutting in from that flank and boast strong dribbling skills like the 26-year-old.

Juventus paid €14.3m (£12m) to sign the forward from Lille back in September 2025, but after he failed to score or assist in 19 games so far this season, Calciomercato believe the Serie A giants are ready to let him go this summer.

Full name: Edon Lulzim Zhegrova

Age: 26

Date of birth: 31 March 1999

Height: 1.81m (5ft 11in)

Nationality: Kosovo

Place of birth: Herford

Club: Juventus

Position: Right wing

Tyler Dibling must be concerned by Edon Zhegrova rumour

While Everton could certainly use some added impetus in the attacking department, Tyler Dibling won’t be happy to see this story from Calciomercato.

The £40m signing from Southampton is struggling to shine in his debut season at Everton, making just four Premier League starts while failing to score or assist a goal in 17 appearances across all competitions.

Moyes recently questioned Dibling in the media, telling the England U21 international to pull his finger out and step up.

However, the 20-year-old has not been given much of a chance to do so since these comments were made, having spent the last three Premier League games sat on the bench.

How can Tyler Dibling actually turn things around at Everton? 🤷‍♂️

It's going to need some turnaround from the youngster 😫

With Dibling already struggling to make the starting XI, he presumably won’t be pleased to see Everton pursuing a direct rival for his position in Zhegrova.
