Trippier has started 11 of Newcastle United’s last 12 matches in all competitions. Both Lewis Miley and Tino Livramento could return to fitness in the near future, but this weekend, Trippier will be asked to start once again.
Malick Thiaw
Suspension handed Thiaw a much needed enforced rest in midweek. The German is likely to return to the starting XI this weekend to once again face the side he scored a brace against in November.
Dan Burn
Burn is almost certainly going to be asked to start again with Newcastle United keen to manage Sven Botman’s workload upon his return to fitness.
Lewis Hall
Hall is one of Newcastle United’s key players at the moment and will be needed to perform well on Saturday if they want to secure a positive result.
Sandro Tonali
Tonali scored his first Champions League goal for Newcastle United on Tuesday, surprisingly playing 90 minutes against Qarabag. He is such an important part of the team and will undoubtedly be asked to start against Everton if deemed fit enough to play.
Nick Woltemade
Jacob Ramsey may not be risked after picking up an injury in midweek. Joe Willock could be an option but Howe is keen to give Woltemade a run of games in midfield and he may again be entrusted to fill that role this weekend.

Joelinton
Joelinton was visibly frustrated to be substituted on Tuesday night, but it wasn’t a surprise to see him withdrawn following his recent injury issues. His physicality may be needed on Saturday.
Anthony Elanga
Elanga registered his first assist for Newcastle United in the reverse fixture and after missing out entirely against Qarabag, will be keen to impress if given the opportunity to start.
Anthony Gordon
Gordon doesn’t have the best record against his former club, but there’s no doubt he would love to continue his good recent form and grab a goal or two this weekend.

Barnes’ form has dipped of late and with some huge games coming up, a return to his very best would be a much welcome boost.
