Leeds United March Premier League fixture moved due to opponent's European involvement

One of Leeds United’s Premier League games in March has been pushed back 24 hours due to their opponent’s European involvement.

The Premier League have confirmed that Leeds’ away day at Crystal Palace has been moved due to the Eagles’ involvement in the UEFA Conference League on the preceding Thursday. The game was due to take place on Saturday March 14 but will now kick off at 2pm at Selhurst Park on Sunday March 15. Sky Sports will broadcast the game live.

Palace eased past Bosnian outfit Zrinjski on Thursday night and progressed into the last 16 of the Conference League. They drew the first leg 1-1 in Bosnia and then won 2-0 at home on Thursday thanks to goals from Maxence Lacroix and Evann Guessand to seal a last 16 meeting with Cypriot side AEK Larnaca.

A Premier League statement earlier this week reiterated that they are at the mercy of UEFA fixture arrangements. It said: “Ahead of the 2025/26 season, the Premier League advised supporters of an increased likelihood of Premier League fixtures moving at relatively short notice should our clubs progress to the knockout rounds of UEFA competitions. A record nine Premier League teams have competed in UEFA competitions this season, with six in the UEFA Champions League. The Premier League aims to provide supporters with six weeks’ notice to confirm broadcast selections.”
