Everton could reunite with Frank Lampard next season even if Coventry fail to win promotion.

The former Everton manager currently has Coventry sitting top of the Championship – five points ahead of Middlesbrough and nine clear of Millwall in third place.

It would therefore take a dramatic collapse for Frank Lampard not to win promotion, but if the unexpected does happen, the 47-year-old may still face Everton with Crystal Palace.

Who do you have down as Everton’s greatest-ever manager? 👏

Frank Lampard is an option to replace Oliver Glasner

BBC Sport have now claimed that the former Everton boss is “highly regarded” at Selhurst Park as Steve Parish attempts to replace Oliver Glasner.

The Austrian has already announced he will be leaving SE25 when his contract expires at the end of the season, giving the Eagles plenty of time to find a replacement.

The BBC add that Sean Dyche – who West Brom hope to hire – may also be in contention for the vacancy at Crystal Palace.

Interestingly, the Everton connection continues, as it is also said that Marco Silva is admired.

The former Everton boss sees his contract with Fulham expire this summer.

Silva has been linked to Manchester United and Tottenham – however – so it might be tough for Parish to lure the Portuguese coach to Crystal Palace.

Everton also have a lot to consider over the next 12 months when it comes to David Moyes

This time next season, Everton will be in a similar position to Crystal Palace and Fulham.

David Moyes sees his contract expire at the end of next term, and while the Glaswegian has done a fine job in terms of solidifying Everton and keeping the Toffees away from the relegation zone, The Friedkin Group need to consider whether he is the man to take the club forward.

The 62-year-old has overseen just two wins from the last nine games, and is starting to irritate Everton fans by fielding key players out of position, such as Jarrad Branthwaite at left-back.

Moyes is also neglecting young talents such as Tyler Dibling, Merlin Rohl and Adam Aznou, three players who cost a total of £65m and could be vital for Everton in future.

Is David Moyes doing enough at Everton to earn himself a new contract? 🫣

If not, who would you like to see replace him? 😬

Everton manager David Moyes.

The Friedkin Group may prefer to hire a manager more trusting of the next generation, so there is plenty to think about before his deal expires in July 2027.
