Newcastle United have had a mixed campaign so far this season, and it's expected that this summer could see some big changes once more for Eddie Howe's side.
The Magpies spent big money last summer to bring in the likes of Nick Woltemade, Yoanne Wissa, Anthony Elanga, Malick Thiaw and Aaron Ramsdale, while they also lost Alexander Isak in a British-record deal to Liverpool on deadline day that left them reeling.
A quiet January transfer window followed, but now plans are being made for the upcoming summer window, and it's understood that there could be some big-name exits set to take place.
Newcastle Duo Could Leave for £85m
Tino Livramento in action for Newcastle United
Newcastle are battling in the Champions League, but also to climb the Premier League table and ensure they claim a European place for next season, as they currently sit 11th.
Key players like Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali have been linked with a move away, but securing continental football at the highest level would be key to keeping hold of them. However, it has now emerged that at least two players could be set to depart regardless.
According to The Telegraph journalist Luke Edwards, midfielder Joe Willock and defender Tino Livramento could well be on their way out of St James' Park this summer.
Livramento has attracted big interest from the likes of Manchester City in recent transfer windows, and the full-back will be entering the final two years of his contract this summer. Injury problems mean that Newcastle could look to cash in if he doesn't agree terms over an extension, and it's understood they would value him at around £70m.
Alongside him, Willock has fallen down the pecking order under Howe in recent years in midfield and an exit looks inevitable this summer. Leeds and Crystal Palace have been linked, and it's believed a deal worth £15m would be enough to find an agreement.
Livramento and Willock Different Situations
Newcastle United's Joe Willock
While both players could be heading toward the exit door, they're both in very different situations at Newcastle.
Livramento, when fit, is one of the first names on the teamsheet, and his versatility makes him incredibly important. Meanwhile, Willock is someone who hasn't lived up to expectations despite some big moments, and it's probably the right time for the parties to go their separate ways.
GIVEMESPORT asked ChatGPT who Newcastle should replace both players with if they were to leave this summer, this was its response:
Right-back: Oscar Mingueza (Celta Vigo)
Right-back: Vanderson (Monaco)
Midfielder: Joe Aribo (attacking mid)
