Oliver Glasner admits to taking inspiration from Everton ahead of Crystal Palace’s upcoming fixture against Manchester United.
Manchester United host Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Sunday.
Michael Carrick will be looking to extend his unbeaten run as head coach by building on United’s 1-0 win over Everton to make it two consecutive victories.
Palace will arrive at Old Trafford having now achieved three wins in their last five matches across all competitions. That said, the Red Devils will be the favourites as Palace are languishing in the bottom half of the Premier League table.

Oliver Glasner paid close attention to Man Utd’s win over Everton
Last time out, United beat Everton 1-0 at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The only goal came in the second half when Benjamin Sesko made sure of his finish after Matheus Cunha found Bryan Mbeumo down the right flank with a long pass to catch Everton on the counter-attack.
Everton reacted to United’s 71st-minute goal by launching an aerial bombardment and recording a total of 10 corners, with the vast majority taken in the final 20 minutes of the match.

For each corner, the Everton players swarmed the goalkeeper, but Senne Lammens did a magnificent job to keep his first away clean sheet since joining United from Royal Antwerp earlier this season.
Glasner was asked about facing United after Palace enjoyed a 2-0 win over Zrinjski to reach the last 16 of the Conference League on Thursday night.
The Austrian coach revealed that he watched United’s victory over Everton and took note of the strengths and weaknesses they showed on Monday night. He also urges his players to be confident after their recent win in Europe.
“We need confidence at Old Trafford,” Glasner told reporters.
“Manchester United are on a good run. I watched their game Monday night at Everton.
“It was a fantastic transition goal [from Benjamin Sesko], and you can see the pace they have in their attack.
“On the other side, I also have seen that Everton caused them some problems, so I’m looking forward to Old Trafford.”
Glasner was linked with the United job in January after Amorim’s dismissal, but the Eagles have struggled since then to replicate the form they showed at the beginning of the season.
Crystal Palace players ready to face Man Utd
It will be a quick turnaround for Glasner’s squad after playing on Thursday night.
Palace took three points from their travels to Old Trafford last February, winning 2-0 when Jean-Philippe Mateta completed a brace.
Thankfully, Palace will be without Mateta for this fixture, but all eyes will be on United target Adam Wharton.
Glasner has stressed that his players will be ready to face United after two days of recovery and training.
He added: “The players will be ready, with two days of recovery and training, and then we go to Manchester on Saturday.
“We’re looking forward to playing at Old Trafford last year. We have great, great memories winning there 2-0, and it’s a fantastic stadium.”
