Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton are expecting Liverpool to come out on top against West Ham United, with both pundits sharing their verdict on how the game will play out.
Arne Slot will have to make changes for the fixture as Florian Wirtz is ruled out.
Hugo Ekitike’s form could be impacted without the German, with whom he has formed such a strong partnership this season.

However, Jeremie Frimpong has returned to the fold, and Liverpool are currently on a run of three wins from three in all competitions, a real rarity this season.
Alan Shearer and Chris Sutton expect Liverpool to beat West Ham
But if Shearer and Sutton’s predictions are anything to go by, it will be four from four come the end of Saturday.
Writing in his column for the Metro, the former Newcastle United striker predicted a Liverpool win and stated: “West Ham are definitely on the up form-wise whether that’s going to be enough I’m not quite sure, they’re going up against Liverpool, who had a good result last time out, away to Nottingham Forest. It has to be a Liverpool home win.
“If you offered West Ham a point now, they’d snap your hands off, but I’m not sure they’ll get one.”

Speaking to the BBC, Sutton predicted a 2-1 Liverpool win and said: “Liverpool were very unconvincing at Forest, but they did nick the win. Some of their fans are still whinging about Arne Slot and he is always being compared to Jurgen Klopp, but they are actually on a decent run of results and showing a bit of spirit too.
“They are right in the mix for the top four but now they need to keep winning – I expect them to do that on Saturday.”

Last time Liverpool lost to West Ham
West Ham head into the weekend’s action 18th in the Premier League, though they have lost just one of their last five league games.
Liverpool, meanwhile, can go level on points with fourth-place Manchester United if they win.
The Reds have a truly impressive record against the Hammers, winning 87 of their historic meetings compared to the London outfit’s 29.
Liverpool last tasted defeat against West Ham on November 7, 2021. Trent Alexander-Arnold and Divock Origi were their goal scorers, but an Alisson own goal plus efforts from Pablo Fornals and Kurt Zouma handed the home side all three points.
However, that is the only victory David Moyes’ side have secured in their last 20 meetings with the Merseyside outfit across all competitions.
