Tottenham, Manchester United on red alert as transfer stance of 11 G/A standout performer from…

Tottenham could battle Manchester United for the signing of West Ham star.

Tottenham Hotspur raided West Ham to sign Mohammed Kudus last summer. The signing of a creative player became very important after it was confirmed that James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski will not be returning to action anytime soon, and the club acted by signing Kudus and Xavi Simons.

Kudus was one of the positives in an otherwise torrid campaign for Spurs before his quad injury. The Ghanaian international has been their No.1 creative outlet, registering six assists in 19 Premier League outings.

Since the 25-year-old got injured, Tottenham have found it difficult to unlock tight defences in the league. And after adding Kudus to their ranks, it looks like the Lilywhites are gearing up to raid the Hammers for the second summer running.

Tottenham, Manchester United on red alert as West Ham skipper Jarrod Bowen’s exit stance emerges

According to a report from TEAMtalk, Jarrod Bowen’s future at West Ham is ‘very open’, putting clubs like Tottenham and Manchester United on red alert ahead of the summer transfer window.

Jarrod Bowen has undoubtedly been West Ham’s standout performer in recent years. He has played almost every minute of their 27 league games this season, racking up eight goals and three assists in the process. However, the England international’s future could be a topic of discussion if West Ham suffers relegation at the end of the season.

The Hammers are languishing 18th in the table, even though their form has improved of late under Nuno Espirito Santo. The East Londoners have lost just once in their last five games and are desperately trying to move out of the drop zone. However, speculation about a summer departure for Bowen has intensified in recent times, and if West Ham go down to the Championship, Spurs and Man United could test their resolve for the 29-year-old.

The report adds that the Irons do not want to lose Bowen, and given his ‘contract length’ and ‘market value’, would ask around €60million to sanction his sale in the summer. Man United could target the West Ham skipper to bolster their attack ahead of their potential return to the Champions League, while Tottenham have been long-term admirers of Bowen’s talent and leadership qualities.

Until and unless Spurs do not preserve their top-flight status, there is no point thinking about knocking on West Ham’s door for Bowen. Even if they stay in the Premier League, Man United would have the upperhand over Tottenham to sign the English forward.
