Oliver Glasner has warned his Crystal Palace players about a range of stars at Manchester United before travelling to Old Trafford.
Crystal Palace take on Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, knowing that their manager, Oliver Glasner, won’t be at Selhurst Park beyond this season.
Glasner was linked with the United job in January after Ruben Amorim’s dismissal, but poor results since then have tarnished the Austrian’s reputation in the Premier League.
As far as United are concerned, no decision has been made over who will be the head coach next season. A strong run for the remainder of the campaign could lead to Michael Carrick remaining in charge.

Oliver Glasner knows Man Utd expect win over Crystal Palace
United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park in November.
An opening goal by Jean-Philippe Mateta gave Palace the lead before half-time, but two second-half goals from Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount secured three points for the Reds.
United have a chance to complete a Premier League double over Palace for the first time since the 2017/18 season, meaning they have become a bit of a ‘bogey team’ for the Red Devils in recent years.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the game, Glasner accepted that United are favourites to win the match, naming eight stars from Carrick’s squad whom he appreciates most.
“We have to accept how it is, and of course when Man Utd play at home at Old Trafford against Crystal Palace, it’s the same: everybody there is expecting a win,” Glasner said.
“Again, they are a very good team, they have a very good balance. It’s a very experienced team.
“When I see Luke Shaw, when I see Harry Maguire, when I see Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo – really very, very experienced Premier League players. And then I see Diallo, I see Kobbie Mainoo – very, very young players with huge talent.
“It’s a good mix they have now, but I think the most important thing for them is they are consistently playing with their team and have a clear structure in the way they are playing, so this is what I could see against Everton. And they have a great spirit right now, as I mentioned.
“For me, it was really impressive seeing Matheus Cunha celebrating winning a duel in their own box, because I think this is what Michael Carrick brought into his team.”

Man Utd’s struggles against Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace
United have faced Palace four times in the Premier League since Glasner was appointed manager at Selhurst Park in February 2024 following a successful stint at Eintracht Frankfurt.
Although United won their last game against Glasner’s Palace, it was the first game in which they managed to score against one of his teams.
Under Glasner, Palace have kept three clean sheets against United.
Palace won two of those games and one ended in a scoreless draw.
