The latest Manchester City injury news and return dates ahead of the Premier League match vs Leeds.

Pep Guardiola's side head into the match on the back of a five-match winning run across all competitions and will hope to close the gap on Arsenal in the league. City can go within just two points of the league leaders ahead of their clash with Chelsea later this weekend, while the Blues also have a game in hand.

City know it will take something special to win the Premier League from this position, but they have been boosted by the return of several key players from injury over recent weeks. They could still be without a key trio this weekend though and here is all the latest injury news.

Max Alleyne - 28 February vs Leeds (A)

Alleyne suffered a small knock in the recent victory over Salford City in the FA Cup but is expected to be back soon. He could be named on the bench against Leeds this weekend.

Doku has missed the previous seven matches with a calf issue and is still not considered match fit yet. He could return early next month, but he won't be risked at such a crucial stage of the season.

Kovacic has been sidelined since he underwent surgery on an Achilles tear last summer. It is hoped he could make his return after the March international break and feature in the closing stages of the season.

Gvardiol is expected to miss the remainder of the season after he suffered a broken leg against Chelsea last month. There is no fresh timeframe on his potential return date.
