Man Utd handed boost as star spotted limping post-Everton is pictured in training

Manchester United’s team news ahead of facing Crystal Palace has been a mixed bag, but training sees one big boost in the form of Bryan Mbeumo.

Ahead of the return to Old Trafford this weekend, Manchester United’s team fitness news sees Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt remain on the sidelines.

Meanwhile, Lisandro Martinez seems likely to return with Michael Carrick not concerned about the Argentinian, failing to mention him in the injury updates.

Similarly, there was another concern around Bryan Mbeumo, but the forward seems to be fit and ready to go.

There is only ONE form team ahead of Man Utd vs Crystal Palace

As far are you are concerned, is Oliver Glasner OUT OF THE RUNNING to be next Man Utd boss?

Mbeumo was taken off against Everton, which doesn’t usually happen, with the Cameroon international limping off, sparking concern.

However, training pictures have been dropped from the squad preparing to face Palace, and Mbeumo is involved.

Mbeumo was involved in drills, looked perfectly fine, which should quell any concern over him missing the game.

This, coupled with Carrick not mentioning Mbeumo, means United have a positive fitness boost in the form of the top-scoring Red Devil this season.

Mbeumo will likely start for United, but not leading the line, as it should be Sesko who is up top.

Mbeumo also limped after the win vs Spurs, which ended up being nothing to worry about, and therefore, there is a chance that this is just his walk after a game’s worth of running.

United must move Mbeumo back to the right wing

Mbeumo was massively improved for United after being moved to the right wing against Everton, and he needs to start here against Palace.

Putting Mbeumo on the right opens up the possibility for Sesko to start through the middle, which is what everyone is now calling for.

United are better with Mbeumo wide, particularly in games where the Red Devils are expected to dominate possession.
