The popular business has had recurring visits from celebrities, including 'legendary' Newcastle United players and their families.
Northumberland's own Big Dan Burn and Brazilian Joelinton are just a few of the latest famous names to have enjoyed some of the Ponteland cafe's delights.
Hjemmelavet, a gelato and cake parlour, has been praised in Google reviews as an 'absolute gem'.
"The food, coffee, and ice cream are all wonderful, and the cosy setting beside the Pont River makes every visit feel special," one customer said. "Their soft cream cakes are truly exceptional - the perfect balance of flavour without being overly sweet."
The cafe posted on Instagram that Thays Gondim, wife of Newcastle United player Joelinton, paid a visit to Hjemmelavet for a surprise Valentine's Day treat.
Hjemmelavet has also posted on Instagram of Dan Burn's numerous visits to the gelato parlour, describing the footballer as 'humble and genuine'.
The staff at the cafe on Darras Road were 'fan-girling' as the Newcastle United footballer entered the cafe for the first time in October.
"Today has been extra special at the café," the cafe posted on Instagram. "We had the absolute privilege of welcoming none other than Dan Burn @bigdanburn through our doors.
"From the pitch to the coffee shop, having a legend like him stop by truly made our day. Such a humble, genuine person and yes, we were totally fan-girling behind the counter," they added.
Since Dan lives in the Northumberland area, he has been known to visit local businesses and restaurants, including the Bay Leaf in Cramlington.
Hjemmelavet has been hailed as a 'must-visit' on social media accounts, such as New Girl in Toon, run by North East local Chloe.
Hjemmelavet has 'become a favourite hangout for Newcastle United players and their families, and after our visit I can definitely see why,' Chloe said.
She said the cafe is a 'must-visit for Newcastle United fans' as the business has created its very own 'Toon-inspired' ice-cream.
"From the outside it feels like you've discovered a hidden cabin," she said. "Step inside and it's such a lovely space with huge windows looking out onto trees, comfy seating and plenty of space for families, groups of friends and your dog.
"Their homemade gelato is so good - really creamy and full of flavour, and includes their famous Newcastle United “Toon Toon” gelato which makes this place a bit of a pilgrimage spot for Magpie fans."
Chloe said Hjemmelavet served the 'best cake I have ever had', with a slice of the Pineapple Almond Crunch.
"So fluffy, packed with flavour and the crunchy almonds on top gave it the most beautiful texture - you need to try it!
"Whether you're a Newcastle fan, a cake lover or just looking for a cosy spot for a catch up, this is definitely one to add to your list," she added.
