Jack Grealish could now be set to complete a permanent move from Manchester City to Everton in the summer, amid news regarding a fresh wave of investment from The Friedkin Group.
The exciting winger is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery on a stress fracture in his foot earlier this month.
With his loan deal at Hill Dickinson Stadium only running until the end of 2025-26, Grealish may well have already played his final game in an Everton shirt.
However, with the Toffees expected to get a big transfer budget in the summer, the England international could still return to Merseyside next season.

Everton are reportedly close to securing record sponsorship deals, which will increase the funds that David Moyes has at his disposal.

Before the start of this campaign, the Toffees spent over £100million, bringing in the likes of Tyler Dibling, Thierno Barry and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall.
However, the improved income streams may give the Merseyside club scope to double that figure this summer.

Everton’s chief partnerships officer, Mark Rollings, has confirmed that The Friedkin Group have played a huge role in setting up the bumper sponsorship deals.
Hill Dickinson Stadium has also helped the cause, with companies now more willing to associate themselves with the Blues.

Grealish came in on loan from Man City at the start of this season, and had an immediate impact on the side.
Before his injury, the 30-year-old looked to have regained his spark on Merseyside and was a constant in the starting lineup.

With an increased budget this summer, Everton’s first move will surely be to sign Grealish on a permanent deal and bring him back to Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees have a £50million option to buy the winger, which initially seemed far too expensive, but it could now be feasible.
However, there should still be scope to negotiate with Man City and bring Grealish in for a lower price.
Regardless, if there really is £200m to play with, spending just a quarter of that on Grealish would surely be considered very wise business.
