West Ham’s latest accounts make for terrible reading at the London Stadium.
Just when many thought this season couldn’t get any worse, the pre-tax losses of over £100million prove that West Ham simply cannot afford to get relegated.
But, looking at the Premier League table, the Irons sit 18th, two points adrift of safety.
The Times have shared the reality of that, with the “severe and serious” consequences likely to lead to several big-name exits, including Jarrod Bowen.

Who else could leave West Ham?
Bowen is, of course, the headline name that could leave Nuno Espirito Santo, who would likely also move on given his break clause in east London.
Crysencio Summerville and Mateus Fernandes are also named as possible casualties, with the desperate need to make money highlighted.
It is said that David Sullivan and the board may also need to throw more money in to cover further losses at the London Stadium.

On top of those three mercurial talents, Jean-Clair Todibo, Max Kilman and Alphonse Areola could also be shipped out, although fans wouldn’t mind that as much given this season.
Others, such as El Hadji Malick Diouf and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, could also be casualties, although they aren’t specifically named here.
Who would be biggest loss at West Ham?
It goes without saying that Bowen would be a huge loss, but not exactly the hardest hit.
Summerville started slowly at the London Stadium, but many would say he has been the best of the bunch in the final third in recent weeks, and it would be hard to argue against that.
But losing Fernandes would be catastrophic.

After spending big money, more than many expected, to sign him from Southampton, the young Portuguese maestro has been sensational.
Whether it’s hard tackling at the back, non-stop running, or his ability to score from range, there aren’t many better in the Premier League.
With huge games against the likes of Liverpool, Fulham, Manchester City and Aston Villa coming up before taking on Wolves, the season could hinge on this run of fixtures.
Let’s hope the Irons can pick up some unexpected points, or it could be curtains already.
