The 29-year-old has started both of Burnley’s last two league games against Crystal Palace and Chelsea respectively, having previously only made one start all season.

Worrall has rewarded Parker’s faith with two excellent performances, bringing his experience and know-how in the centre of defence.

The former Nottingham Forest man looked set to embark on a run of games after impressing at Bournemouth in December, only to be shortly sidelined with an injury.
