Martin O’Neill has tipped one of his Celtic players to go on and play in the Premier League in the ‘foreseeable future’.
Celtic have received bids from Premier League clubs for key players like Daizen Maeda and Arne Engels but managed to keep hold of them for now.
However, there is another player in the squad that O’Neill thinks will have a bright future south of the border.
Who do you pick to replace Auston Trusty against Rangers? 🤔

Martin O’Neill thinks Benjamin Arthur will play in the Premier League
Benjamin Arthur made a positive impression on his debut against Hibernian in difficult circumstances following Auston Trusty’s red card and O’Neill is adamant that he will go on to play in the Premier League one day.
He said: “My genuine belief about Benji is that he will be, in the very foreseeable future, a Premier League player. Definitely.”
The Hoops interim manager has been left with a selection headache as Trusty serves the first of his three-game ban against Rangers.
Arthur or Dane Murray will start alongside Liam Scales at Ibrox but it seems that the Northern Irishman is yet to decide on who will get the nod.

Big Dane has done fine,” O’Neill added. “He’s been out injured for about two years really so he’s lost that two years through injury and that’s a shame.
“He’ll get it back in time but it was pleasing to him doing really fine (vs Stuttgart).
“It’s a good shout (starting Arthur against Rangers). I don’t know.”
Who was the last Celtic player to make their first start against Rangers?
If Arthur is to make his first start for the club against Rangers, the best person to ask for advice from would be teammate Alistair Johnston.
Johnston joined from Montreal CF and was immediately thrown into the starting XI by Ange Postecoglou at Ibrox.
When Alistair Johnston returns to fitness, would you pick him over Julian Araujo?

He gave a great account of himself and has become a fan favourite ever since. Maybe that could be the same for Arthur?
