Liverpool aim to bolster their chances of a Premier League top-five finish when they welcome West Ham United to Anfield.
The Reds’ last-gasp 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest last weekend bolster their chances of Champions League qualiciation, moving level points on Chelsea. Now Arne Slot’s side have the chance to pile the pressure on their chief rivals.
Chelsea are not in action until facing leaders Arsenal on Sunday, while Manchester United face Crystal Palace. In addition, Aston Villa’s 2-0 defeat to Wolves means another opportunity for Liverpool.
But the Reds will be wary of facing a West Ham side who are fighting for their lives in 18th. The Hammers have been resurgent in recent weeks and will pose a threat.
Liverpool head into the encounter once against without Florian Wirtz, who has a back injury, although Jeremie Frimpong has recovered from a groin issue.

The Brazilian made a big save early at Forest, although his kicking might have to be a bit better.
RB - Joe Gomez
Had another full week of training under his belt and surely the versatile defender is now ready to feature from the outset.
CB - Ibrahima Konate
Been in immense form in recent weeks and there are now fans clamouring for him to sign a new contract.
CB - Virgil van Dijk
The Liverpool captain has been excellent of late and proven a key threat from set-pieces, as shown for the winner at Forest.
LB - Milos Kerkez
Subbed off late at Forest after having a decent game and there seems little reason why he will lose his starting berth.
CM - Ryan Gravenberch
Was pretty woeful in the first half at Forest but it was hopefully just an off-day.
CM - Dominik Szoboszlai
The Hungary international has to stop being wasted as a full-back, having been moved early from the position at Forest.
RW - Mo Salah
Liverpool’s supposed talisman is in a really poor run but Slot is likely to keep faith given his comments at his pre-match press conference.
AM - Alexis Mac Allister
Was all over the place Forest but Slot praised Mac Allister’s mentality for bagging the late winner and that should be enough to keep his spot.
LW - Rio Ngumoha
Showed all of his quality during his cameo at Forest. It is now time for the 17-year-old to make his full debut with Cody Gakpo lacklustre of late.
ST - Hugo Ekitike
Not scored in his past four games, having had chances in them including one big miss at Forest. Still, title to a mini-blip given his excellent maiden campaign.
