Gabriel Gudmundsson starts, £12m Leeds ace to be frustrated – Leeds United predicted lineup vs…

Leeds United

Leeds United are one of the only obstacles in front of Pep Guardiola’s men in the Premier League title race. As it stands, Manchester City are five points behind Arsenal with a game in hand.

This weekend City will visit Elland Road to face Leeds in a very crucial game. The stakes are very high for both sides; Pep Guardiola’s side will want to win to close the gap to the top of the table. Leeds United will also want to get more points on the board in their fight for Premier League safety.

The Whites will no doubt have a lot of confidence after managing to pull off results away to Chelsea and Aston Villa over the last two games. Now, they have the advantage of the home crowd on Saturday night, and will very much make it a very contested game.

Team news ahead of Elland Road clash

In Thursday’s pre-match press conference, Daniel Farke revealed that his team will be close to full strength when they face Manchester City on Saturday night. The only absence is set to be Noah Okafor, who is yet to recover after being substituted early in the FA Cup clash with Birmingham City.

Outside that, Gabriel Gudmundsson will be fit after going off at half time in the game against Aston Villa last weekend. Farke will be glad that Dan James has returned to fitness, and the Welshman could have a chance to play on Saturday.

Leeds United predicted lineup for Manchester City game

After a series of great performances, Karl Darlow is expected to keep his place in goal as Lucas Perri remains on the bench. James Justin could move back to the bench now that Farke has all of his first choice defenders fit and available. Anton Stach returned in the game against Aston Villa and showed that he is still one of the most important players in the team. He is expected to lineup alongside Ethan Ampadu, and Ilia Gruev who has won a first team spot over the last few months.

Sean Longstaff will be gutted to be still out of the lineup after his recent performances, as Gruev seems to have earned his way into Daniel Farke’s preferred lineup. Up top is expected to be Dominic Calvert-Lewin, despite Lukas Nmecha’s recent run of form, and Brenden Aaronson, who has adapted well to his new role in the team.

Leeds United predicted XI vs Man City: Darlow; Bijol, Rodon, Struijk; Bogle, Ampadu, Gruev, Stach, Gudmundsson; Aaronson, Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
