Burnley have received a boost in their Premier League relegation battle as Lyle Foster could make his return to the pitch after sitting out due to illness.
The Clarets are in need of a win against Brentford at Turf Moor on Saturday as they sit in 19th place on the Premier League log with 19 points, 6 behind 18th placed West Ham.
The South African international missed out on Burnley’s 1-1 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend, but is fit and ready for action according to head coach Scott Parker.
“Lyle’s trained this week,” Parker confirmed during his pre-match press conference, as per the Burnley Express.
“He’s back up to speed and had a good week’s training, so we’ll see how he is leading into the weekend and whether he’s selected.”
The 25-year-old has bagged three goals and one assist in the Premier League this season and will be looking to contribute this weekend and propel the Clarets closer to safety.
