Moretto: ‘Other objectives, other priorities’ – Milan not interested in Man Utd midfielder

AC Milan’s interest in signing Casemiro on a free transfer from Manchester United has been denied by Matteo Moretto.

Casemiro is currently set to leave United in June after four seasons at the club, and reports in recent days have suggested that Milan are keen. It would be another experienced midfield addition, after Adrien Rabiot and his former Real Madrid team-mate Luka Modric.

However, Matteo Moretto believes Casemiro’s profile isn’t what the Rossoneri are looking for The renowned transfer market journalist provided the latest details in a video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel (via MilanVibes).

“By checking and asking about this type of situation, they’re denying that he’s a real target for Milan. They keep reiterating that he’s a player who, as of now, isn’t a candidate for the Rossoneri,” he said.

“Milan have other objectives, other priorities, and are looking at other transfer market situations. I wouldn’t pursue this option at this time.”

The Brazilian midfielder shared many successes and numerous trophies with Modric at Real Madrid, with the suggestion being that the pair could be reunited or that Casemiro could help replace the Croatian if he doesn’t renew. Those reports, it seems, are wide of the mark.
