**The lineups have been announced against Liverpool and Nuno has decided to stick with his side against Bournemouth as the Hammers tremble over to Anfield.**
Against Bournemouth, the team didn’t look poor at all, and Nuno’s side managed to neutralise Bournemouth’s attacking capabilities entirely through the team that was set out; therefore, it is unsurprising to see no changes made.
Questions might be raised over select indiviudals such as Magassa who people questioned against Bournemouth, everytime you appear to watch the Frenchman he seems to have the ability to be a top player, but in moments he makes rash decision and seems to be a bit panicky on the ball, but this of course can change with gametime, which hopefully would’ve seen his confidence bolstered after playing last week.
The backline remains the same after some brief concerns midweek that Mavropanos had yet another injury scare, but fortunately, he will be involved today, which was much needed given his defensive and aerial abilities. The same can be said for Axel Disasi, who is hoping to secure his fourth clean sheet in a Claret & Blue shirt this season; his abilities will be required against Liverpool’s monstrous attack.
A classic counter-attacking performance is expected today, and Fernandes even alluded to that game strategy midweek, claiming it gave us an edge over our fellow competitors, specifically against Top 6 sides. In hope of providing a threat on the counter, the frontline of Summerville, Bowen and Taty are the individuals Nuno’s selected for this afternoon, with both Wilson and Traore on the bench if needed to provide that threat of finishing or blistering pace.
This afternoon will be a tough fight for the Hammers. West Ham don’t tend to do well at Anfield, but anything can happen in Football. Nuno and his side appear to be very confident going into the last 11 games of the season, but we need that confidence to also be translated onto the pitch.
