Red alert for red cards

by Staff Writer

Saturday, 28th February 2026

West Ham supporters attending this afternoon's Premier League fixture against Liverpool at Anfield are advised to arrive at the ground a little earlier than planned, if possible.

And that's due to an extended security operation at the ground, which appears to be involving extra checks by stewards upon away fans when entering the ground.

It has been confirmed by KUMB members already at Anfield that stadium security are removing anti-board flags and t-shirts from West Ham supporters.

And not even hand-held 'BS Out' red cards are able to escape the heightened security checks, with one supporter having had around 150 cards confiscated at the entrance to the ground shortly after 2pm.

Liverpool v West Ham United kicks-off at 3pm. We'll have a round-up of the afternoon's events for you at the final whistle.
