**West Ham did not start well against Liverpool, but they nearly halved their 2-0 deficit with Alisson** **almost handing a goal to Jarrod Bowen.**
Unfortunately for the London side, the Anfield club would add a third before the half-time whistle.
However, Stephen Warnock was left fuming with the incident that took place with the score still at 2-0, blasting Liverpool’s goalkeeper for being “lazy” during that moment.
Overall, the Hammers’ performance was not reflective of the 3-0 scoreline, as they were creating plenty of chances, but Liverpool found the net with three set pieces.
Although, that one moment from Alisson could have resulted in an easy way back into the game for Nuno Espirito Santo’s side.
With Liverpool 2-0 up in the 30th minute, Liverpool’s goalkeeper Alisson had the ball at his feet as West Ham went to press.
Despite having plenty of time to deal with the ball, the Brazilian played a misplaced pass straight into the path of Bowen.
The Liverpool number one’s blushes were saved as the Irons captain was unable to keep control of the ball, and it went straight back to the goalkeeper.
Warnock, who is at Anfield for [BBC Sport](https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/live/cdrexy557net?post=asset%3Aa2dbf6c0-0b9a-442e-9ece-89489d2cbe6c#post), was left in disbelief, blasting Alisson for the near-error.
He stated: “So complacent from Alisson. He thought it was a simple pass, and it was far too lazy and relaxed.”
For West Ham, the 3-0 goal lead from the hosts will be difficult to trim down, and they will be hoping more complacency lands their way to aid their efforts.
