Troy Deeney has hailed Tyrique George’s impact at Everton already and believes that the Chelsea loanee will come on leaps and bounds under David Moyes.
Tyrique George endured a frustrating time at Chelsea prior to his loan move to Everton. He was supposed to join Fulham in the summer, but a potential deal collapsed at the last moment.
He’s appeared in 100 minutes of football up until now, but was an unused substitute for Everton in their 3-2 win over Newcastle United this afternoon.
Former Chelsea midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall has been impressed with what he’s seen of George, despite the limited minutes. And he even gave a good reference for him.
And Troy Deeney agrees with the impact made on Merseyside.

Troy Deeney predicts good progress for Tyrique George at Everton
Speaking on The Football Exchange, Troy Deeney reckons he’s already had an impact on Everton, but thinks the best is still yet to come under Moyes.
“He added a little bit of life and a little bit of colour to the game. At least he’s ready to attack. I think actually working under the David Moyes could be a little godsend for him.”
The perfect example of Moyes’ influence has come with Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall at Everton, becoming a huge contributor in the final third and giving Chelsea some regrets with his performances.
David Moyes has even been left impressed by George, it just baffles us as to why he’s not being given more minutes.

Tyrique George likely to be sold in the summer
Tyrique George faces an uphill battle to return to the Chelsea fold, as his January move to Everton includes an option to buy. While George remains an academy favorite, his path at Stamford Bridge was blocked last summer by the arrivals of wingers like Estevao, Alejandro Garnacho, and Jamie Gittens.
Before his departure, Liam Rosenior admitted the youngster was unfortunate to find minutes so scarce, leading the club to sanction a move to Goodison Park to replace the injured Jack Grealish.
Though his Chelsea contract runs until 2027, the inclusion of a purchase option, coupled with a near-£22 million move to Fulham that collapsed last summer, suggests the board is open to a permanent sale.
