James Garner sends message to Jarrad Branthwaite after Everton outdo Newcastle

James Garner and Jarrad Branthwaite combined to open the scoring for Everton at Newcastle.

It was the Everton No.37 who delivered a devilish corner in the 19th minute for his teammate to glance beyond Nick Pope, recording his fourth assist of the season in doing so, as further goals from Beto and Thierno Barry ultimately sealed a fine 3-2 win for the Toffees.

The Everton squad were unsurprisingly ecstatic after securing a seventh win from 14 Premier League away games – and made no secret of their collective delight on Instagram after the final whistle.

Who was your Man of the Match from that incredible game? 🤩

Not sure how you're going to only pick one…

What James Garner sent to Jarrad Branthwaite and more as Everton squad celebrate victory

It was an excellent, deft header from Jarrad Branthwaite – and James Garner let him know it.

The man who delivered the corner told the Everton No.32 it was “some header” from him against Newcastle – adding a fire emoji for good measure.

Other players replied to Branthwaite as well, with Harrison Armstrong writing “love it” and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall simply posting an emoji with hearts for eyes to express his adoration for the header.

Dewsbury-Hall also uploaded a post of his own besides his comment, telling Jordan Pickford he is “a charming man” after that mesmeric save from Sandro Tonali’s thunderous volley in stoppage time.

Despite a troubling run of seven games without a win at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the stunning away form has ensured team spirit remains high at Everton.

James Tarkowski’s hilarious response to remarkable Jordan Pickford save

Even Eddie Howe was left gobsmacked by Pickford’s stunning save, calling it one of the best stops he has ever witnessed in football.

That was also mirrored on the face of James Tarkowski immediately after the Everton No.1 denied Tonali in some style.

The Everton No.6 could quite literally be seen staring at Pickford open-mouthed after the save, looking absolutely flabbergasted that his teammate managed to save the powerful volley.

Garner was also in shock, instantly putting his hands on his head in disbelief at the stop.

What do you think was Jordan Pickford’s best ever save for Everton? 🤩

There's just SO many to pick from!

It will require something quite otherworldly to prevent Pickford from winning Save of the Season for that effort – a save which was arguably the greatest of his entire career.
