Regardless of Liverpool's end to the season, major decisions will have to be made this summer. Despite a dismal defence of their Premier League title, a successful campaign can still be rescued, with the Reds remaining in contention for the FA Cup and Champions League.
Qualification for the premier European competition looks set to go down to the wire as they battle Chelsea, Manchester United and Aston Villa for the valuable spots. After a summer of expenditure that totalled £450million, Arne Slot's side still have plenty of business to do in the upcoming transfer window.
Alongside incomings with the Reds needing to bolster their wing options, there could be a series of exits with Mohamed Salah's future continuing to generate speculation - despite the Egyptian signing a new contract last year.
Salah transfer latest
It's been quite the turnaround for Salah at Anfield following his December rant where his immediate Liverpool career was plunged into danger after he was dropped for three consecutive matches.
Over two months since accusing the club of using him as a scapegoat for their struggles and claiming he and Slot had "no relationship," the Egyptian has come back into favour under the Dutchman, with less than 18 months now left on his contract.

However, a summer exit is "increasingly likely," according to BBC Sport, which would spell the end of the 33-year-old's illustrious career on Merseyside. Salah has long been a target for numerous Saudi Pro League teams, while a switch to the MLS remains on the cards.
However, the possible exit is reportedly dependant on Salah's considerable wage demands. Currently Liverpool's highest-paid player, it'll surely take a colossal offer to trigger his Anfield departure.
Curtis Jones possible exit
The Englishman may be Liverpool's only local lad in the team, but he was reportedly close to leaving his boyhood club in the final days of the January transfer window amid interest from Inter Milan. Like Salah, he too is out of contract in the summer of 2027.

While he eventually remained at the club, his time on the pitch decreased in games against Manchester City and Sunderland, where he managed only 20 combined minutes of action. Having yet to make the jump from squad player to automatic starter, the 25-year-old could begin thinking about his future.
According to Corriere dello Sport, his expiring deal is expected to lead Inter to make a second attempt at signing him in a cut-price deal. Jones' breakthrough into the England senior squad came last year but he has fallen out of contention in recent squads due to a lack of consistent starts at club level.
A desire to reignite his international career could see him considering a departure, but it remains to be seen whether Liverpool would trigger a sale of their homegrown talent.
