Newcastle United are eyeing a move to sign Sporting CP forward Luis Suarez after the season, according to reports.
The St James’ Park side have reportedly identified the 28-year-old as a ‘prime option’ to bolster their attacking options this summer, amid growing uncertainty over Nick Woltemade’s future.
As GIVEMESPORT revealed last week, Newcastle are open to selling the Germany international in the summer window after he failed to impress in his first six months in England.
The Magpies are expecting to recoup as much, if not all, of the £69m they splashed out on Woltemade in a club-record deal last year.
Newcastle Keen on Luis Suarez

According to SportsBoom, Newcastle are looking to add a prolific forward to their ranks this summer and consider Suarez as one of their top targets.
The Colombia international has been in sublime form at Sporting this season, scoring 29 goals and providing six assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.
Despite being under contract with Sporting until 2030, the ‘world-class’ forward has not ruled out moving to a club of bigger stature next season.
Sporting have reportedly declared they will not negotiate offers below €60m and are in a strong position, having only signed Suarez from Spanish side Almeria last summer.
Livramento and Willock Could Leave

Newcastle appear to be heading for a major squad reshuffle this summer, as multiple first-team players could leave the club after the season.
Along with Woltemade, the Magpies could also look to part ways with midfielder Joe Willock, while Tino Livramento is attracting interest from some of the Premier League’s biggest clubs.
The likes of Bruno Guimaraes, Anthony Gordon and Sandro Tonali have also been linked with departures in recent months, and securing Champions League football could be key to keeping hold of the trio.
Newcastle are some way off that target at the moment, sitting 12th in the Premier League with 10 games to play.

Amid Newcastle’s reported interest in Suarez, we asked ChatGPT what qualities the Colombian forward could bring to St James’ Park this summer:
Proven goalscorer in Europe – He scored heavily at UD Almeria before moving to Sporting CP and continued his high output, showing he can finish from varied situations.
Direct attacking threat – Suarez’s pace, movement in behind defenders and strong finishing make him effective on the counter and in transitional play.
Versatility and experience – At 28, he’s in his prime with experience across La Liga, Ligue 1 and now Portuguese Primeira Liga, adding depth and competition up front.
