Improved club-to-club relations revive plan to sign Tottenham attacker

Earlier this month, Sport Witness covered claims from TuttoSport about Juventus’ carrying forward their interest in Tottenham’s Randal Kolo Muani.

The striker was a target for the Bianconeri in the January transfer window. Even then, a deal appeared difficult and fell through. Despite that, they have been keen and strangely, they appeared optimistic about signing him in the summer.

Sport Witness clarified that the idea was perhaps not as realistic as Juve think. More than that, it was only going to annoy the PSG club further. Juventus messed them around in the summer after refusing to use their clause and trying for a fresh loan.

PSG weren’t impressed and Sent the player to Tottenham on loan instead.

Now, TuttoSport have reported about Kolo Muani again.

Tottenham player still being pursued

The newspaper – relayed by Calciomercato, reports the France international remains a hot topic in Turin. Even manager Luciano Spalletti wants him, despite struggles with the signature in January.

There is belief in Italy that relations between Juve and PSG are now better. Even if Tottenham are yet to make a decision about possibly keeping him beyond the season, Juve will push for Kolo Muani.

All of it is likely to depend on the 27-year-old’s form in the next few months in London.

Tudor can bring more out of Kolo Muani

The striker enjoyed his time under Igor Tudor in the second half of last season at Juventus. In fact, he was key to their Champions League qualification, contributing to eight goals in Serie A.

He has already shown similar signs at Tottenham, scoring against Arsenal. He also had another goal probably unfairly disallowed in the second half.

Spurs don’t have an option to buy him permanently. But they are likely to have a better relationship with PSG than Juve. The Serie A side and the Parisiens were involved in a bitter battle of words after Kolo Muani headed to London. Considering that, it is difficult to see PSG agreeing terms with Juve for the player anytime soon.

Besides, Kolo Muani’s contract in Paris runs out in 2028 and they would likely prefer his permanent transfer.
