Bryan Mbeumo and the eight-match Crystal Palace stat that makes him a secret weapon for Old Trafford clash

Manchester United host Crystal Palace in the Premier League and Bryan Mbeumo has loved facing the Eagles throughout his career.

No Premier League side is on a longer unbeaten streak than Manchester United and Michael Carrick will hope to extend that 10-match run against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.

Last time out, United returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Everton. A win against Palace would lift the Red Devils up to third in the Premier League table after Aston Villa’s defeat to Wolves.

Bryan Mbeumo’s incredible record vs Crystal Palace

All three of those victories have come in Mbeumo’s last three matches against Palace, though, and he has also scored twice in those three meetings.

Mbeumo played the full 90 minutes of the reverse fixture this season when United beat Palace 2-1 at Selhurst Park thanks to a second-half comeback.

At Old Trafford, he will hope to extend his winning streak against the London outfit.

Michael Carrick’s Mbeumo and Amad headache vs Palace

Carrick has made very few changes to his starting line-ups so far as United’s interim head coach, but Benjamin Sesko’s scoring streak means the Slovenian is forcing his way into the side.

Sesko deserves to be starting matches, but that means Carrick faces an uncomfortable decision on who to drop.

Amad Diallo is the obvious candidate, as both Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha have also been in great form under Carrick.

If Amad is dropped, Mbeumo could return to his favoured right-wing spot, supporting Sesko in a central role against Palace.

Cunha can expect to retain his starting spot on the left side of the attacking three after another impressive display against Everton last time out.
