Arsenal have the chance to bring in some new faces when the summer transfer window opens up for business

Arsenal have ‘watched’ Stuttgart youngster Chema Andres over recent times, according to TEAMtalk. Manchester United, Newcastle United and Manchester City have also been mentioned as potential suitors. The player is under contract until 2030 over in Germany.

The Gunners are back in Premier League action on Sunday afternoon. They face a home clash against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium. Mikel Arteta’s men remain top of the tree above City as they look to get their hands on the title.

Arsenal keeping tabs on Chema Andres

Arsenal could see Andres as someone to boost their midfield department. Standing at 6ft 4inc, he is an imposing figure in the middle of the park. He would give the Gunners more competition and depth in the middle of the park if they managed to lure him over to England.

Andres, 20, had a spell at Levante before Real Madrid signed him back in 2018. He went on to make three appearances for the La Liga giants before heading out the exit door. The prospect was sold last year when Stuttgart came calling and he hasn’t looked back since.

The Valencia-born man has since enjoyed plenty of game time in the Bundesliga over recent times and is being tipped for a bright future in the game. He has played 27 matches for his current club and has chipped in with two goals. They could face a real battle to keep hold of him down the line though amid attention from Arsenal, as well as Manchester United, Newcastle and City.

Arsenal gear up for Chelsea clash

Chris Sutton believes Arsenal will have too much for Chelsea in the end. He has said: “Arsenal have got to be careful they don't warm up in the Chelsea half again, for starters. If I was playing in this game, I'd do it deliberately! In terms of the game, I can't see anything other than a Gunners win.

“Chelsea can cause Arsenal a few problems because they have got players who can hurt anyone but, at the other end, I don't see Liam Rosenior's side keeping a clean sheet. I liked the way Arsenal responded to their setback against Wolves by battering Spurs. Chelsea don't like them much either, but this is going to end up with the same result. Prediction: 2-0.”
