Manchester United could go third in the Premier League with a win over Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Red Devils battled to a 1-0 win at Everton on Monday and, with Aston Villa surprisingly losing to bottom-of-the-league Wolves on Friday, United have the chance to go above the Villans on goal difference if they take all three points here.
Palace progressed in the UEFA Conference League this week by winning Thursday's playoff second leg against Zrinjski, which was a welcome boost to a team whose season has been unravelling badly. Manager Oliver Glasner, who has said he will leave the club at the end of 2025/26, has overseen just two wins in the Eagles' past 12 league matches.
