A resurgent Manchester United welcome Crystal Palace to Old Trafford targeting a sixth win in seven in the Premier League.
Michael Carrick has worked wonders since picking up the pieces from Ruben Amorim turbulent reign, leading the side on a remarkable unbeaten run to strengthen the club’s hopes of Champions League qualification.
While Aston Villa and Chelsea have faltered around them, the Red Devils have risen to fourth in the table – and another big victory could see Carrick’s men move to third this afternoon.
Their opponents, Palace, have endured a miserable 2026 both on and off the pitch, with the uncertainty over the manager’s position seeping into performances ahead of Oliver Glasner’s summer departure.
United will, though, be wary of underestimating a Palace side that boast undoubted quality from defence through to attack. The Eagles should also be buoyed by their recent wins over Brighton and Wolves.
A shock result at the Theatre of Dreams could see the FA Cup holders leapfrog Newcastle, Sunderland and Fulham into tenth before their trip to Tottenham on Thursday night.
Today’s hosts are once again without central defender Lisandro Martinez due to a calf problem which kept the Argentine out of the 1-0 defeat of Everton. Patrick Dorgu, Mason Mount and Matthijs de Ligt also remain sidelined with injuries.
