Karren Brady is said to be considering her resignation at West Ham United as issues worsen at the London Stadium.

It was announced on Friday that West Ham lost £104.2million before tax in their latest accounts, including a £42.1m decrease in revenue.

The 56-year-old could be set to quit the East London side as a result of the current mess both on the pitch and off it.

There have been regular fan protests towards Brady and owner David Sullivan this term, with supporters increasingly upset with how things are being run, and their position in the Premier League relegation zone has done little to help the situation.

West Ham departure has hit Karren Brady hard

Brady was appointed as vice-chairman of the Hammers in 2010 and has held the role for the last 16 years.

However, the financial issues are clearly weighing heavily on her and the club, as the ownership recently took out a £124m loan from Rights and Media Funding Limited to help with rising costs.

To make matters worse, according to The Observer, Brady has been affected by the departure of long-term friend Tara Warren back in December.

Karren Brady is believed to be considering imminent resignation, in part due to the accounts, but not helped by the December departure of her long-term friend and ally Tara Warren.

Warren, who was an executive at West Ham until the end of last year, has taken up a new role at the Independent Football Regulator.

Brady has publicly opposed the regulator in the past, and will be wary of Warren’s position, given she knows the details of the current problems at the London Stadium.

As a result of the financial situation and the exit of a close ally, Brady is now said to be considering her own future, as per the report above.

Premier League relegation could be catastrophic for West Ham

The issues off the pitch at West Ham are being worsened by the terrible season they are having in the Premier League.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have picked up some form as of late, but their 5-2 defeat to Liverpool on Saturday afternoon leaves them firmly in the relegation zone.

If the Hammers do suffer the drop, it could be catastrophic for the whole club, given their financial troubles.

The likes of Leicester City have struggled in recent times after being relegated to the Championship, and West Ham could be in line for a similar downfall if they cannot find a way to retain their Premier League status.
