There could be a Man Utd debut when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League fixture on Sunday afternoon.

Michael Carrick’s side can move up to third in the Premier League with victory today and have made one change from their win over Everton at the start of the week. Benjamin Sesko has been selected to lead the line after his winning goal at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, with Amad Diallo dropped to the bench.

United are still without the injured quartet of Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs De Ligt, Patrick Dorgu and Mason Mount, with none of the players fit enough to be involved this weekend. It means United have named the same squad as against Everton, with young midfielder Moorhouse again named on the bench. He could become the latest academy graduate to make his senior debut for the club, and here is everything you need to know about him.

Date of Birth: 29 November 2005 (20)

Place of Birth: Manchester, England, but a Republic of Ireland youth international.

Position: Central midfield

Jack Moorhouse is regarded as one of the most impressive young talents in the Manchester United academy and could make his senior debut for the club before the end of the season.

The 20-year-old central midfielder caught the eye of former head coach Ruben Amorim during an appearance for the academy against Southampton in December 2024 and has been included in many first-team training sessions under both him and Michael Carrick.

Moorhouse was named on the substitute bench against Tottenham and Arsenal last season but has yet to make his competitive debut for his boyhood club. The youngster was recalled from his loan spell at Leyton Orient at the start of the month, and it was decided he should remain at the club for the remainder of the campaign to offer cover for the first team. He was on the bench for the 1-0 win over Everton in February 2025.

He made his debut for United's U18 side when he was just 15 and has been a regular for the U21 side since making the step up last summer. Although born in Manchester, Moorhouse is eligible to play for the Republic of Ireland and received his first U21 cap at the international level last year.
