Taty Castellanos Struggles For Hammers At Anfield

**Taty Castellanos managed to score a goal against Liverpool, but that would only be a consolation given the final score.**

Taty has been a player who has become very popular amongst fans due to his work ethic across 90 minutes, but against Liverpool, there were worrying signs that the Hammers might need to improve on for the upcoming final 10 games.

Castellanos simply cannot work alone upfront and the service he is provided is little to none, which is beyond concerning. Against Liverpool, bar his goal, very few chances were played directly to him and often it feels that the squad play with Taty and utilises him as an input rather than an output. Instead of dispatching parcels, he’s the one putting it in the box.

The Hammers do need to begin to utilise Taty in a different way and in one that’ll benefit the Argentinian. The support from the wingers is often helped by Taty himself,  rather than the wingers helping Taty, more service is required! Alternatively, you could, of course, play the likes of two strikers which is where Taty begins to shine the most under, which has been a common pattern throughout his entire career.

The only availability West Ham have at the moment is Callum Wilson, with the ideal candidate being Pablo, but unfortunately, the Brazilian remains out with an injury at the moment.

Overall, it is something Nuno and his side need to address coming into the final 10 games of the season. Against Liverpool and Bournemouth, the Hammers played well, but that only translated into a singular point and with time running out, there’s only so much longer this can go on for before doom arrives.

If you have a relatively weak squad, the best way to utilise them is by having your top players play to their strengths.
