March has been 'incredible' in training as Hurzeler explains recall

March was on the bench for the home game with Nottingham Forest, his first involvement of the season.

He replaced Harry Howell in the only change of personnel to the 20 who won at Brentford eight days previously.

Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game, Albion boss Hurzeler said: “I just spoke with my (club) owner (Tony Bloom) about Solly March and he said before his injury he was one of the best players in the Premier League.

“And exactly these things, Solly showed in the last two weeks. He was incredible in training.

“His left foot is just outstanding, his left foot is special for the Premier League

“We are all happy that he is back. Now hopefully he can get back to his level he was before his injury

“We need to give him time. You can only get back to your shape if you get game minutes so we try to use him in an effective way

“But we all have to be patient with him. We have to go step by step.

“But overall we are delighted he is back.

“He is not only a great player, he is a great person.

“He is Brighton. He is here for such a long time and he really wants to help the club.”
