Manchester United could face the possibility of an exit for Mason Mount in the summer transfer window, as the midfielder continues to be linked with a Premier League switch.
The 27-year-old is approaching three years since his £55million move from Chelsea, but has struggled to make a regular impact, making just 66 appearances for the club so far with seven goals and two assists in that time.
Fitness has been a key concern for Mount, but even with those issues, former Man United chief scout Mick Brown claims that he has been an excellent presence in training and around the dressing room.
Speaking to Football Insider about the midfielder and a possible exit, Brown said: "There’s going to be no shortage of interest in a player like Mount. He’s got a very good reputation and he’s spoken about very highly at Man United.
“Everybody I speak to says what a wonderful trainer he is, he works very hard and his general demeanour around the club and in the dressing room is good.
“That’s always good to hear if you’re looking into a player because it’s important to bring people in who have the right attitude and application.
“I’m told Aston Villa have been keen on him before and I’m sure he’s still on their radar, and then you’ve got teams like Fulham who will be looking if he is made available.
“I can imagine there are a number of Premier League teams who could do with a player like Mount. It’s just about whether he can stay fit for long enough to make a difference, I think that’s what will make or break any move for him, and the money involved as well.”

While his long-term future may be uncertain, Manchester United will be hoping his short-term future will see him back to full fitness and contributing to the side's Champions League qualification hunt.
Mount has been out of action since early February with his latest injury issue, but Michael Carrick suggested that he could be back in action soon.
The caretaker boss told the press: "Mason is getting closer, he’s on the grass, he’s looking to train and be around it. We’ve just had to be patient really."
At times this season, Mount has shown plenty of quality as either a false nine, a number ten or in the midfield pivot, but it remains to be seen how much more he can impact on his return.
