Hurzeler loves the energy as he reveals two big reasons for Albion win

The Seagulls followed their 2-0 success at Brentford eight days previously by edging out Nottingham Forest 2-1.

An unchanged starting line-up had unchanged scorers as Diego Gomez fired home the first and Danny Welbeck grabbed the second.

There were celebrations at the end of a win which saw Solly March return briefly as substitute.

Albion are now in much-improved spirits as they prepare for the midweek test by leaders Arsenal.

Head coach Hurzeler said: “We wanted to create two things.

“We wanted to create, from the start, an energy in the stadium that everyone will follow us, that the supporters follow us.

“I think especially in the end of the game, they had great support for us. It was just impressive.

“They helped us get over the finish line so, therefore, it was massive, their support.

“The second thing we wanted to create was a desire to defend and I think we showed it, especially in the second half, where we suffered a little bit.

“We blocked a lot of shots, we defended the box quite well and overall I was pleased by doing these two things.”

Albion impressed in the first half and might have added to their lead through Kaoru Mitoma and Jack Hinshelwood.

Hurzeler added: “In the first half, I think we played really good football. We created a lot of chances. We scored some nice goals.

“I think we could be more efficient and more ruthless in front of the goal, than we might have scored more goals.

“But, overall, I was pleased and I think it was a deserved win.”
