Man United, Brighton, Fulham Pick Vital Three Points Each as Spurs Struggle Continues

Sunday’s fixtures of the English Premier League (EPL) Matchweek 28 favoured the hosts, including Manchester United, Brighton & Hove Albion and Fulham FC, as they picked up three vital points each, news.ng reports.

Manchester United secured a 2-1 victory against Crystal Palace, making it seven unbeaten games, with six wins and a draw.

The two goals for the Red Devils came from captain Bruno Fernandes via a penalty in the 57th minute. However, Palace’s Maxence Lacroix had earlier given his side a fourth-minute opener before Benjamin Sesko replied with the winning goal in the 65th minute.

Sunday’s victory for United has given Michael Carrick another good reason for the United board to consider him for a long-term coaching deal.

United are now third on the log with 51 points, sharing the same tally as Aston Villa, though separated by goal difference.

Elsewhere, struggling Tottenham Hotspur fell 2-1 to Fulham FC, bringing a serious headache for newly appointed interim manager Hugo Tudor, marking his second consecutive defeat since taking over. Spurs remain 16th on the log with 29 points.

Brighton, on the other hand, continues to soar after two consecutive defeats against Villa and Palace, but redemption came their way last week as they secured a vital 2-0 victory over Brentford.

Brighton’s 2-1 victory over Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon sees them gradually pushing toward mid-table with 37 points, while Forest are yet to lift off from the relegation zone, sitting 17th with 27 points.
