After a narrow 1-0 defeat against Manchester City, Leeds United have been dealt some frustrating injury news ahead of hosting Sunderland on Tuesday.
Farke "disappointed" by red card, says Riemer
Elland Road is one of the toughest destinations for Premier League sides these days. Following a tough start to the season, Daniel Farke's mid-season system change has transformed the Whites. Even that wasn't enough to stand in the way of Antoine Semenyo, however, who handed Man City the edge in Yorkshire.
It looked to be a routine afternoon without drama for either side until the full-time whistle signalled the start of Farke's rage. Incensed with a decision that he spotted just moments before, the German confronted the team of officials and received a red card as a result.
Speaking after the game, Eddie Riemer - Farke's assistant - told reporters: "Probably the explanation is going to be he (Farke) was over emotional, how he’s gone on the pitch, I would suggest.
"He’s really disappointed to be sent off and would have wished for a more sensible action from the referee as well. Come on, give a yellow card. It’s an emotional game, and that’s it."
The Leeds boss will hope to move on quickly and turn his attention back towards securing Premier League survival to end an excellent return to the top flight.

The former White reserved special praise.
It's not a case of job done quite as yet, though. The Whites still have 10 games to get over the line and remain six points clear of the dropzone, but may have to cope without one of their stars against Sunderland.
Rodon could miss Sunderland after hamstring injury
As confirmed by Riemer, Joe Rodon could now miss Sunderland on Tuesday after suffering hamstring injury. The Welshman was forced off after 87 minutes and has seemingly dealt his side a major blow.
"I think it’s his hamstring. We need to assess him; hopefully, it’s not too serious."
With the Sunderland game just days away, Rodon now faces a race against time to return. The central defender has proved to be an important member of Farke's side over the years, too.
So far this season, Rodon has started all 26 Premier League games that he's been available - missing just two from injury. To say that he'll be a big miss is an understatement.

It's no surprise, given just how available he is, that the Leeds star received such high praise from Joe Hart earlier this season. The former Man City goalkeeper said: "He (Rodon) took a few good hits in the opening minutes.
"He’s such a warrior, he’s not missed a game for two years. It’s exactly what you want from your centre-half. To get that hit twice in a row, that’s when you come off and you’re chatting to your physios. Can you play on? Yes, just give me a minute."
