Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall’s Sofascore statistics
Dewsbury-Hall covered virtually every blade of grass on Tyneside, and he laid on the all-important assist for Thierno Barry’s winning goal.
The 27-year-old certainly would’ve put Thomas Tuchel on red alert ahead of the England camp later this month.
Why Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall should be seriously considered for England squad
Indeed, it’s going to be very difficult for Dewsbury-Hall to get into the England squad, considering the competition in midfield.
Jude Bellingham, Declan Rice and Elliot Anderson are already pretty much nailed, so the Everton star is probably competing against the likes of Morgan Rogers, Adam Wharton, Alex Scott and, of course, his teammate James Garner.

Dewsbury-Hall brings something different to the aforementioned England contenders though, as he’s one of the most athletic players in the Premier League.
The former Chelsea and Leicester playmaker is excellent at leading a press from the front, and he’s also very busy in his own half.
Pair that with his output, and it’s a very safe pick for Tuchel to make. You know exactly what you’re going to get from Dewsbury-Hall; he is Mr Reliable.

There has always been a place for that type of player in England squads gone by, and they’re crucial for tournaments, considering the workload required.
It’ll be really hot temperatures over in the US at the World Cup, so Dewsbury-Hall’s energy will certainly be needed, whether that be from the start or off the bench.
