Bruno Fernandes is out of contract at the end of next season and is yet to sign an extension.
To avoid letting him leave for free, Man United should either extend his contract or sell him in the summer and invest the funds in a replacement. United have been linked to a West Ham star who could replace him.
Man United set to rival Spurs for Bowen
West Ham are a side in trouble at the moment. They are currently 18th in the Premier League table, and in the relegation zone with just 10 matches left to play. If they are relegated, some of their top players may want to leave in the summer to stay in the Premier League, and one of those is Jarrod Bowen.
Bowen is one of the best midfielders in the Premier League, so he will no doubt be in demand if the Hammers suffer relegation. According to TeamTalk, Man United are monitoring Bowen’s situation at West Ham, and could make a move for the England international should the Hammers go down.
The report says United would likely have to battle Tottenham for Bowen’s signature, but given Man United will most likely have Champions League football next season, it shouldn’t be too much of a competition.
It is understood that West Ham would demand at least £52m for Bowen in the summer, which is a reasonable price for a proven Premier League star. He could come in and replace Fernandes. This season, Bowen has made 28 Premier League appearances, scoring eight goals and providing four assists.
Man United also monitoring Everton star
Reports last week said that Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham are also named as interested in Ndiaye, but Man United seem to be in pole position to sign him as things stand, which would be a major coup for those at Old Trafford. He has been at Everton for the last two years, after joining from French side Marseille in 2024.
This season, Ndiaye has made 22 Premier League appearances, scoring five goals, and providing two assists; He also won the Africa Cup of Nations with Senegal during the Winter too.
