Manchester United could return to the Champions League next season and will need a squad that can cope with the demands of playing twice a week.
United have taken advantage of their reduced fixture schedule under head coach Michael Carrick and currently sit third in the Premier League table after their weekend win over Crystal Palace.
It means United are well-placed to secure Champions League qualification with just 10 matches left of the league campaign, but know that even if they achieve that, there will also be an expectation on them to be competitive in the competition as well.
United are set for another summer of change, with a new permanent head coach to be appointed and several squad changes required. They are also set to lose five senior players with Casemiro, Jadon Sancho, Tom Heaton and Tyrell Malacia all due to be released, while Marcus Rashford and Rasmus Hojlund will leave permanently.
Here is a look at what the United squad will look like for their new manager before any signings are even made.
