Benjamin Sesko is Manchester United’s man in form, and there could be a lot more to come.

It feels good to say Manchester United finally have a striker. Slovenian forward Benjamin Sesko is in incredible form right now, showing what he is capable of, and ramming his critics’ words back at them.

Over the past eight matches, Sesko has scored seven goals. These include six league goals and one FA Cup goal. They have also included three winners.

It’s an impressive run we hope never stops, so we took a look at Sesko’s best career scoring streaks in his career to see how it compares.

Benjamin Sesko once netted 13 goals in 6 games

Benjamin Sesko’s best scoring streaks of his club career can be seen below. This 7 goals in 8 games streak is just routine for him, it’s not a one-off.

2025/26: 7 goals in 8 games / Total goals so far – 9

2024/25: 5 goals in 5 games / Total goals: 21

2023/24: 7 goals in 7 games / Total goals: 18

2022/23: 10 goals in 10 games / Total goals: 18

2021/22: No notable streak / Total goals: 11

2020/21: 13 goals in 6 games / Total goals: 21

The current streak is only the fourth best of Benjamin Sesko’s career. He had a more efficient 7 goals in 7 games for RB Leipzig two seasons ago. This streak was only cut short by the season coming to an end.

Previously at Red Bull Salzburg, Sesko struck 10 goals in 10 games during the 2022/23 season.

But those were nothing compared to his 13 goal blitz in the 2020/21 season when he was playing on loan at Austrian club FC Liefering.

He netted these 13 goals in only six matches, including one hat-trick and one four-goal haul.

Sesko was a teenager at the time playing in Austria’s second tier, and was clearly a class above.

United coaches deserve credit for Sesko emergence

Benjamin Sesko had a slow start to his Manchester United career as he had to build up his fitness and then adjust to the pace of the Premier League. Now he is flying.

His potential has always been clear to see, and Michael Carrick’s coaching staff have found a way to get the best out of him.

The way Sesko is playing, combined with his prolific scoring history, backs up belief that his goalscoring is sustainable long term.

United fans will recall that Rasmus Hojlund had a streak of scoring seven goals in six games for the Red Devils during the 2023/24 season.

Hojlund could not keep this up, and then went on the worst kind of streak during the 2024/25 season, when he went 21 consecutive matches without scoring a goal.

Sesko’s track record suggests his scoring is both inevitable and repeatable, and hopefully far more consistent than Hojlund’s feast and famine.
