Louis Saha has given his verdict on whether Michael Carrick should remain Manchester United’s head coach beyond this season.
Michael Carrick has remained unbeaten since returning to Manchester United as head coach in January.
Last time out, United beat Crystal Palace 2-1 after forcing a comeback after Oliver Glasner’s side was reduced to 10 men in the early stages of the second half.
The win saw United climb into third place in the Premier League table ahead of a trip to Newcastle on Wednesday night, when Carrick will be hoping his team can build more momentum in the race to secure Champions League qualification.

Louis Saha backing Michael Carrick to remain Man Utd head coach
It has been almost 18 years since Louis Saha left Old Trafford after spending four years at the club.
The former France international pays close attention to his former club, especially now that his former teammate is in charge of the team.
Saha has been convinced by what he has seen from United under Carrick, stating that he has brought back the ‘flow’ that has been missing for many years.

The 47-year-old fully backs Carrick to remain in charge. He told TikTok: “He has given us the foundation, the confidence.
“He has brought back the kind of flow where we can be aggressive, we can be almost arrogant, technically, very sharp, but as well, we can play with speed. All that has been missing from many years.
“But what was missing was the consistency. I think I haven’t remembered that many games in a row that even with a bit of difficulty ahead because we’ve been behind or something like this, we still managed to pursue the same rhythm, the same quality, and that’s bring the fans together, simple as that.
“The fans are buying that. They are really happy with the kind of show that they see.
“Carrick is definitely on the seat to remain there.
“And now I’m supporting the new era of Michael Carrick. He has to be given massive consideration if it’s not done already.
“I have heard so many punditry comments saying, ‘oh yes, maybe different type of things is going to come and he won’t be able to maybe react the same way, so that’s why they’re thinking about the more experienced manager.’
“And I can understand this point. Champions League or whatever, other challenges, but he’s been there. So I totally back him up in so many ways.”
The only way Carrick can convince other pundits that he is the right man for the job is by continuing to win football matches.
Nicky Butt is also backing Carrick to get the permanent job.

Michael Carrick issued blow to Oliver Glasner
Glasner was linked with the United job immediately after Ruben Amorim’s dismissal at the start of the year.
Since then, Palace’s results have worsened and Glasner has announced that he will be leaving Selhurst Park at the end of the season.
However, United’s latest win over Palace showed that Carrick got the better of Glasner, which could prove to be a critical blow for the Austrian coach.
Carrick would be a much more popular candidate for the job among United fans, with many fearing that Glasner would play a similar system to the one that failed under Amorim for 14 months.
