‘Everything is sorted out’ – Belief deal to sign Tottenham player is largely in place

Towards the end of last week, Sport Witness covered the latest on Juventus’ continued interest in Tottenham’s Randal Kolo Muani.

The Old Lady tried to sign the striker in January. A deal always appeared complex at that point and didn’t come close to going through. That hasn’t stopped Juve from keeping an eye on potentially bringing the Frenchman back to Turin.

The striker has had his problems at Tottenham but has one goal under Igor Tudor. He impressed under the Croatian last season at Juve and this can prove key in the rest of the current campaign.

In the meantime, Juve are growing optimistic about re-signing him from Paris Saint-Germain.

Deal worth less than €50m

TuttoSport report that even if Juve want to keep Dusan Vlahovic, they would like another striker. The Tottenham player is seen as the perfect choice for that, amidst belief he can work well with the Serbian.

The transfer is also seen as being attractive financially. This is because they feel Kolo Muani will cost a bit less than €50m and is therefore affordable.

Tuttosport – a Turin newspaper – states ‘everything is sorted out’ with PSG over a summer deal. This will be key and Kolo Muani’s experience from last season is also weighing heavily in his favour.

Lois Openda, who was signed last summer, is expected to depart. This will give space to the current Tottenham player to feature regularly.

Chance of over optimism

TuttoSport are no strangers to being over-optimistic about Juve. They had, in fact, appeared very sure that Kolo Muani would join in the summer and then January.

This is another example of that. Juve and PSG were involved in a bitter war of words last summer after the Italian side failed to sign the Frenchman. The blame game went on for weeks, which is likely to have impacted the relationship between the clubs.

Considering how PSG owner Nasser El-Khelaifi operates, the rift could very well be ongoing. Juventus may believe everything is place, but it’s PSG who call the shots.
