Bruno Fernandes makes‘never just happy’claim about red-hot BenjaminŠeško

Bruno Fernandes has spoken about Manchester United’s in-form striker, Benjamin Šeško, stating that the hungry forward is ‘never just happy’, even when he scores.

Michael Carrick has completely turned things around since being appointed as the interim Manchester United manager, and has managed to get the best out of his attacking stars.

The Reds have managed 19 points from a possible 21 in their seven Premier League matches under Carrick, which has taken them up to third in the table.

United were able to leapfrog Aston Villa in the table thanks to a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace, which saw 22-year-old Benjamin Šeško score yet again.

The Slovenian forward has been in red-hot form for the Red Devils under Carrick, and his bullet header against the Eagles was his fourth in five games.

Fernandes on Šeško

United’s new striker has waited patiently for a run in the side under Carrick, but following three goals in four games as a substitute, he earned a start against Palace, where he rewarded his manager with a goal.

Following this, United’s captain, Bruno Fernandes, provided an insight into Šeško’s determination to succeed at Old Trafford, claiming that the forward is ‘never just happy’.

“He’s [Sesko] a very good player, we just wanted to get his confidence,” Fernandes told Sky Sports, via The Mirror.

“He is a kid that wants to improve. He is never just happy with a goal. He is very aware that he needs to score week in, week out for this club.

“Hopefully, he will have more goals between now and the end of the season.”

Tough test up next for United

Up next on the fixture list for the Reds is a tough trip to St. James Park, where they will face an out-of-form Newcastle United side as they look to continue their push for a top-four spot.

Speaking about United’s current position in the league, Fernandes said, “There are a lot of games to go still and it is important that we don’t feel that we are in the position that we need to be. We need to make as many points as we can.”

With only a quick turnaround of three days between their match against the Eagles and their trip up north, it is uncertain as to whether Šeško will remain in the starting XI, or whether he will return to the bench.

If the Slovenian is to start against the Magpies, then it will be a tough test against physical opposition in a very hostile stadium, in which he will get the chance to carry on his incredible run of form.
