JJ Gabriel has a big couple of weeks coming up for Manchester United at U18 level with a Premier League Cup semi-final on Wednesday.
After narrowly overcoming West Brom 4-3 a few weeks ago, in which JJ Gabriel was wrongly sent off, Manchester United have set up a semi-final against West Ham on Wednesday afternoon.
Victory would set up a final date against either Crystal Palace or Spurs, with United looking good value to claim silverware this season, either in the Premier League Cup or the league and FA Youth Cup.
But ahead of this semi-final, Gabriel has received further endorsement from Michael Carrick.

JJ Gabriel makes another appearance in Manchester United senior training
While the next few weeks could see United’s U18 side on for a treble, Gabriel has now had another experience training with the first-team.
The excitement around Gabriel is evident at Carrington, and the hype around the 15-year-old is completely justified. Gabriel is the top U18 scorer in England right now with 18 already.
This has resulted in a number of opportunities to train with the first-team and this week he has confirmed on his Instagram story more opportunities with the senior side.

Gabriel has been training with the first-team more often since Carrick’s appointment. Interestingly, Steve Holland has been really impressed with Gabriel and the manner in which he performs in training.
Even under the anti-academy Ruben Amorim, JJ Gabriel was wowing coaches on his first-team chances, which says a lot about how talented he is.

JJ Gabriel could conclude U18 career with three trophies
At 15, JJ Gabriel could play for the U18s until 2028 if he needed to, but his ability already and development suggests this campaign will be his only one at the age group.
But, he could bow out winning a treble as the key player.
United are in the FA Youth Cup quarter-finals against Sunderland later this month, being the best side on paper still in the tournament.
Additionally, United’s league title chances have opened up as City dropped further points this week.
But it will be a spot in the Premier League Cup final on the line for United this coming week, a pivotal step in the hopes of winning silverware.
