Newcastle United look to put their defeat against Everton behind them when they welcome Manchester United to St James’ Park tonight.
Having lost three Premier League matches in a row at home, Eddie Howe’s side will be desperate to correct that record against a Red Devils side that have not won on Tyneside since the 2020/21 season. However, Michael Carrick’s men are in good form and head to Tyneside having beaten Crystal Palace on Sunday.
The Magpies, meanwhile, will need to react to their defeat against the Toffees and Howe could decide to reshuffle his starting XI and formation from that game. They have proven in the past that they can react from setbacks, Howe and his side must now show that tonight - whoever is picked in the starting XI.

Botman was rested at the weekend as his minutes were managed following his return from injury. A major formation change could offer the imperious defender a chance to start against Manchester United.
