On Tuesday, Sport Witness covered claims from Italy about Juventus’ confidence of signing Tottenham’s Randal Kolo Muani.
The Turin club remain insistent on bringing the striker back to the club, having failed with a January move. TuttoSport suggested that their problems with Paris Saint-Germain have evaporated and this would help in finally sealing a summer move.
Sport Witness clarified that this confidence is probably false hope. Even if Juve have moved on from the chaos of summer deadline day involving Kolo Muani, PSG probably have not. The two sides were involved in a war of words, as Tottenham stole the striker on loan.
Now, it seems like the 27-year-old is very keen on moving back to Juve too.
Kolo Muani has Juve on his mind
Corriere dello Sport report on Juve’s hunt for a new striker today. They think Kolo Muani is a big summer target, even if Dusan Vlahovic extends his contract at the Bianconeri.
The two have played together for the club in the past and have thrived under Igor Tudor.
Now, it is believed that Kolo Muani will return to PSG from Tottenham. The London side will make no attempts to keep him permanently or beyond this season and this will give Juve a chance to execute their move.
The France international has ‘only one idea’ in mind and he is desperate to return to the Italian club. He was pushing for a deal in January and now wants to join the Old Lady on a permanent basis.
The striker is happy to play alongside Vlahovic too and won’t object the idea of his renewal.
Deal can bring Kolo Muani back on track
The forward’s time at Tottenham has been hampered by injuries and the club’s instability. He has one goal under Tudor but that was his only Premier League goal so far.
At Juve, things were much more promising. He needs that spark back after the ongoing spell and it can possibly bring him back into the picture for the national team too.
Whether Juve can actually afford a permanent deal remains uncertain, but it is easy to see why their admiration hasn’t faded.
